Born and raised in Grand Rapids, I’ve had the pleasure and luck to spend a good amount of time traveling around the country and the world early in my life. Eventually, though, I realized, “Hey, I LIKE Grand Rapids.” So, here I am…home.
While attending high school, completing my degree in Communications at Grand Valley State University, and after graduating, I’ve had a fair variety of jobs so far in my life. In my working career I’ve been a paper boy, audio engineer, ranch hand, print shop manager, retail worker, English teacher, video producer, translator, and a few other things I’m sure I’m forgetting (or perhaps have purposefully forgotten). Honestly though, I’ve enjoyed each one for different reasons, and will never take for granted what each has taught me.
Over the years it’s become clear my passion lies in media creation. The combination of creativity, problem solving and deadlines satisfy all of the things that make me get excited about working. That’s right, excited about working. I’ve had a job since I was 15 and have found I don’t do well without having something to do, which is why I tend to keep busy after work and on the weekends with side projects and volunteering around town when possible.
What you’ll find here is a small sampling of the things that have kept me busy over the years.
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy.
